Admin mode

1. What is Admin mode? What kind of service is it?
  • This feature allows the admin to edit the storefront while looking at the page. When you open your online store after logging in with the head admin account, you will see the Admin mode bar on the top.
    1. Once enabled in the admin settings, you can easily make changes to the theme directly from the storefront.
Benefits
  1. 1) You can edit the theme while looking at the page.
  • In the past, you had to save the changes made to the theme and then go to your online store to check the changes. Now with the admin features, it has become much easier to edit the theme as you can instantly check how your store will look after the changes.
  1. 2) Where do I edit the theme? It prevents confusion.
  • It is a feature useful for the users who cannot easily find the module to edit from the store admin.
    1. When you see a part you want to edit, you can simply select the area and make changes.
  1. 3) You can manage the layout by modules.
  • For easier editing, the entire module will be selected when you click on a feature.
  1. 4) You can directly edit the theme from the storefront.
  • When you select the area you want to edit, you will be directed to the theme editor window where you can make changes.

How to use Admin mode

1. Log in to the head admin account.
  • To use the Admin mode, you must log in as a head admin.
2. Go to your online store.
  • Go to your online store.

3. Online store screen
  • ‘Enable’ is selected by default for Admin mode.
4. Select the area to edit.
  • To move to a different page, disable Admin mode and go to the page to edit.
    1. Enable Admin mode again when you get to the page to edit. Place the cursor on the area (module) to edit, and the area will be automatically selected as shown below.
5. Select the menu.
  • On the right side of the selected area, a list of editable menus will appear. Click the menu to edit.
    1. To edit categories, click on the category to edit.
6. Edit and save
  • The selected menu to edit will open in a pop-up window. Make changes to the part you want to edit and save.
    1. e.g. Change the category name and click ‘OK’.
7. Confirm
  • The pop-up closes and the page is refreshed to reflect the changes to the page. You can instantly check if the changes were made properly.

Features

Basic features
  • Admin mode consists of the following features.
Enable
  • Enable the Admin mode service. The page will show modules instead of the links.
Disable
  • Disable the Admin mode service. The storefront will be displayed as usual.
Guideline
  • You will be directed to the guideline on how to use Admin mode.
Go to Store admin
  • You will be directed to the store admin page.
Close
  • Admin mode section will be hidden.
  • When you click on the close button, the open button will show as in the image below.
Open
  • You will be returned to the Admin mode.
