Smart Web App uses Google’s Progressive Web Apps (PWA) technology to display a website as an app.
With [Add to home screen] feature in the mobile web browser, the customers can create a shortcut on their home screen.
When the customers click the shortcut on their home screen, a splash screen appears and an app-like page is displayed.
Splash screen: It is an introduction page displayed while the home page is launched. It lasts for approximately two seconds before directing the users to the online store.

You can establish the settings for [Shortcut] banner display and [Splash screen].
A shortcut created from the mobile browser after the setting has changed to [Enable] will be in the form of a web app.
A shortcut created after the setting has changed to [Disable] will be in the form of a shortcut that opens in a browser. The customers who created a web app shortcut can use the app until they delete the web app and reinstall.
Check the domain in use
Current primary domain
The primary domain settings in <b>My Store>General>Domain</b> will be applied.
The link for the shortcut must start with https://. You cannot create a shortcut for a page that does not start with https://.
After the initial setting, the current primary domain will appear under <b>Primary domain in use</b>. And this domain is the most recently updated primary domain.
When customers enter your store from the mobile shortcut, they will be directed to the primary domain in use.
When you change the primary domain, forward the previous domain to the new domain for those who created a shortcut to the previous domain.

You can enter the text for the shortcut creating banner up to 12 bytes.
Splash screen

What is splash screen? : It is a screen that appears for approximately 2 seconds before being directed to the home page.
You can enter the text for the splash screen up to 12 characters.
Splash screen background color
You can select a color of your choice for the background.
Depending on the splash screen background color, the text will automatically shown in black or white.
Screen style
There are two types of online store pages that can be accessed from the mobile shortcut.
Full screen: The online store page will be maximized to fill the entire screen.
Display status bar: The mobile status bar that shows the battery percentage and time will be displayed.
For Safari, the status bar will be displayed regardless of the full screen settings.

You can change the color of the mobile status bar that shows the battery percentage and time.

Add icons
You can add the image to use as the icon in the shortcut creating banner, Add to home screen icon, and the splash page icon.
The optimal icon image is a 512px*512px PNG file.
The size of the image you added will be automatically transformed to fit in the mobile screen.
