Create coupons

  • Create various types of coupons for your customers.
  • Manage the settings for issuance, usage, individual image, display, and additional information for coupons.

General

Coupon name, description
  • Enter the name and description for the coupon. The name you enter will be displayed under [Coupon name] in [Promotions>Coupons>Issued coupons].
Incentive type
  • Discount by fixed amount, Discount by percentage, Points by amount, Points by percentage, Shipping fee discount, Reward points immediately: Customer can use the coupon at checkout. Discount is offered or points are rewarded by fixed value or by percentage.
  • Instant reward: Points are issued instantly when customers select a coupon in [My coupons] and click [Use].
  • When [Issuance amount] or [Issuance rate] is selected, the points will be rewarded according to the settings for [My Store>Store setup>Points>Point issuance].
Discount on default shipping fee
  • Create a discount coupon that allows customers to get a discount on default shipping fees.
  • Select whether you wish to include regional surcharges in the amount eligible for the coupon discount.
Issuance type
  • Customer-specific coupon: Coupon is issued only to customers specified by the admin.
  • Auto-issued coupon: Coupon is automatically issued based on the conditions set by the admin.
  • Downloadable coupon: Customers can download the coupon directly from the store website.
    1. (If you do not wish that the coupons be displayed on product pages, scroll down to [Display settings] and select "No" for [Display coupons on product pages].
Customer-specific coupon
  • Issue coupons to specific customers.
Auto-issued coupon
  • For creating an account: Coupon will be automatically issued once the customer completes the signup process.
  • When an order is delivered: Coupon will be automatically issued when the order status is changed to [Delivered]. Coupons will be issued once every hour.
    1. A single order number will be created for partial shipment or combined shipment orders, and coupon issuance will be determined based on the order number created.
    1. For partially canceled orders, coupon will be issued based on the final order total before cancellation.
  • Special event (Birthday): Coupon will be automatically issued once a day based on the date saved by the customer.
    1. Birthday coupons will be issued automatically for either the customer's solar or lunar birthday.
  • For adding store to bookmarks or creating desktop shortcuts: Coupon will be automatically issued to customers who add your store to bookmarks or create desktop shortcuts.
    1. Coupon issued for adding store to bookmarks or creating desktop shortcuts can only be issued once per customer.
  • For writing a product review: Coupon will be automatically issued once the customer leaves a review on product review board (Board ID #4).
  • For placing an order: Coupon will be automatically issued when order status has been changed to [In transit]. Coupons will be issued once every hour.
    1. For partially canceled orders, coupon will be issued based on the final order total before cancellation.
  1. • Coupon recipients: Coupons are not issued upon creation; they are issued for orders that are marked as "In transit" when you search all existing orders.
  • To first-time customers: Coupon will be issued to first-time customers whose orders have been marked as [Delivered]. Coupons will be issued once every hour.
    1. Coupon will be issued for orders partially canceled as well.
  • For purchasing a required number of products: Coupon will be automatically issued to customers who purchase a required number of products. Coupons will be issued one hour after the order status is changed to [In transit].
Downloadable coupon
  • Customers - Coupons issued to customers signed in at the point of issuance
  • Customers without a purchase for a specific period - Coupons issed to customers without a purchase for a specific period
1) Information>[Issuance type = Customer-specific coupon]
Issue coupon
  • You can select when to issue a coupon or when to display the coupon on the storefront. For coupons issued to the selected subjects only, the admin needs to manually issue them in [Issued coupons].
  • Time for [At a specific date and time] must be later than the current time.
  • e. g. You must select 12:10 or later if the current time is 12:08.
  • For coupons selected [At a specified date and time] for [Issue coupon] and [Valid through the end of the issuing month] for [Active dates], note that customers can only use the coupons during the issuing month.
  • Email notifications will not be sent for coupons issued according to the schedule.
2) Information [Issuance type=Auto-issued coupon>When a customer signs up]
Issue coupon to
  • To issue a coupon to the referrer, you must include the [Referrer] field in the sign up page. And the settings must be selected as follows:
    1. Check off [Referrer ID] in [Customers>Manage customers>Signup/Delete accounts>Account signup fields>Additional Information].
  • You can set to automatically issue a coupon to the new customer and the referrer if the customer subscribes to receive email notifications.
  • The coupon will not be reclaimed if the customer cancels the subscription after receiving the coupon.
3) Information [Issuance type=Auto-issued coupon>When an order is delivered/When an order is placed]
Maximum quantity per issuance
  • You can set to automatically issue up to ten coupons when shipment or an order has been completed.
    1. E.g. Coupons are issued as many as specified. If you enter 5, five same coupons will be issued at once.
  • Carefully set the limit as it affects the settings for [Limit issuance quantity] and [Can be reissued to the same person].
    1. When [Limit issuance quantity] is less than [Quantity per issuance], the quantity of coupons issued will be the quantity entered for [Limit issuance quantity].
    1. When [Can be reissued to the same person] is set to [No], only one coupon will be issued regardless of [Quantity per issuance] settings.
Issuing unit
  • You can select the issuing unit for coupons. The coupons will be issued according to the settings for [Quantity per issuance] and [Can be reissued to the same person].
  • When you select [Checkout coupon], a coupon will be issued for each order number.
  • When you select [Product coupon], coupons will be issued for all products eligible for coupon discounts in the cart.
  • You can select which products and product categories to issue the coupons to in [Eligible products] and [Eligible categories].
  • A coupon will not be issued when a customer orders a product selected to be eligible but belongs to a product category that is not eligible.
Limit number of coupons issued
  • You can set to issue up to 999 coupons on a first-come, first-served basis.
Limit multiple issuance per customer
  • You can choose whether to restrict issuing the same coupon multiple times to a customer. If you select [No], you can select how many times the same coupon can be issued.
  • If you enter 2 for [Extra coupons per customer], up to 3 coupons can be issued to the same customer.
  • You can enter up to 999 for [Extra coupons per customer].
Issue for orders placed during a specific period
  • You can set to issue coupons only to the customers who place an order during the specified period.
4) Information [Issuance type=Auto-issued coupon>On a special event (Birthdays)]
Issue coupons for
  • When multiple coupons have been added for the same type of anniversary, only the coupon with the highest coupon number will be issued.
  • When an anniversary coupon has been issued, another anniversary coupon cannot be issued in the same year even when the customer changes their anniversary date.
Issue coupon
  • Issue this coupon on the day of the anniversary: A coupon will be issued on the day of the anniversary.
  • Issue # days before the anniversary: A coupon will be issued before the anniversary.
  • A coupon will not be issued to a new customer if the anniversary date is before or the same date as the signup date.
5) Information [Issuance type=Auto-issued coupon>When the store website is bookmarked]
Module type Adding to bookmark (Mobile)
  • A coupon is issued to customers who adds the online store to Favorites on their mobile device.
  • This feature is only available in Android OS.
Minimum number of reviews required
  • A coupon is issued when customers leaves the required number of reviews, and you can save up to 999 coupons.
  • A new coupon will not be issued when customers who received a coupon deletes their review and rewrite a new review.
7) Information [Issuance type=Auto-issued coupon>First-time customer]
Sales channel
  • When you have selected multiple channels, the coupon will be issued to the first purchase made through any one of the channels.
  • When only one channel is selected, the coupon will be issued to the first purchase made through the selected channel.
8) Information [Issuance type=Auto-issued coupon>When a customer purchases a required number of products]
Criteria for required number of products
  • Based on the number of identical products in an order: A coupon will be issued when the number of identical products in an order is greater than or equal to [Minimum number of products].
    1. E.g. When [Minimum product quantity] is 3, a coupon will be issued when customers orders 3 or more Product A.
  • Based on the total number of products in an order: A coupon will be issued when the total number of products in an order is greater than or equal to [Minimum number of products].
    1. E.g. When [Minimum order quantity] is 3, a coupon will be issued when customers order (1 Product A + 1 Product B + 1 Product C).
    1. E.g. When [Minimum order quantity] is 3, a coupon will be issued when customers order (2 Product A + 1 Product B).

Conditions

Validity
  • Set validity: Coupon will be valid only within the specified date range.
  • From the issuance date, valid for: Coupon will be valid for specified number of days starting from the date when the coupon was issued.
    1. e.g. When [From the issuance date, valid for] is selected for [Validity] and you entered 7, coupon will be valid until January 8th 10 pm if coupon was issued on January 1st 10pm.
  • Valid through the end of the issuing month: Coupon will be valid until the last day of the month when the coupon was issued.
    1. e.g. If coupon is issued on January 13th, coupon will be valid from January 13th to January 31st.
Coupon type
  • [Checkout coupons] can be applied when a customer buys products eligible for coupon discounts with products not eligible for coupon discounts. However, discounts will apply only to the eligible products.
  • Product coupon: Coupon can be used only for coupon-applicable products.
Eligible categories
  • Note that when product categories become [Not on display] or deleted after being added as coupon applicable categories, relevant settings may not be applied properly.
  • Coupons will not be applied to products added both to eligible categories and excluded categories.
Minimum purchase amount
  • The specified minimum purchase amount must be greater than the amount after discount for customers to be able to use the coupon.

Based on subtotal (before discount)
  1. Of all products
  • Customers can use this coupon when the sum of all product subtotals exceeds the configured minimum purchase amount.
  • This type of coupon can still be used if the customer's order includes products that are not eligible for the coupon.

  1. Of coupon-applicable products
  1. Checkout coupon
  • Customers can use this coupon when the individual item price of the coupon-applicable product exceeds the configured minimum purchase amount.
  • This type of coupon cannot be used if the customer's order includes products that are not eligible for the coupon.

  1. 1) Discount by amount
  • Conditions for use: Coupon can be used if the product amount is greater than the coupon discount amount.
  • Cannot be used: Coupon cannot be used if the product amount is less than the coupon discount amount.

  1. 2) Discount by percentage rate
  • Products eligible for coupons: Discount is applied.
  • Products not eligible for coupons: Discount not applied.

  1. Product coupon
  • Coupon can be used when the price of an eligible product/item is greater than the coupon discount amount.
  • Coupons cannot be used on products that are not eligible for coupons.
Base amount
  • You can select whether to include discount/coupon in total for minimum purchase amount required to use coupons.
  • Total before discount/coupon: ∑[{(Price±Option price) * Number of variants}]
  • Payment amount after discounts (not coupons): ∑[{(Price±Additional price for option) * Quantity}] - All discounts
Limit number of identical coupons per checkout
  • When you select [Yes], you can only enter up to 999 coupons since this is to limit the number of available coupons.

Individual image settings

Individual image settings
  • You can replace the coupon theme with your own theme.
  • When uploading your own image, we recommend you select a 216 × 105 image. The image cannot exceed 500 kb.
  • Only default images are provided on Plus App. Individual images uploaded will not be displayed on Plus App.

Display

Display of coupons on product details page
  • You can select whether to display the coupon to be downloaded by customers on the product details page.

Additional services

Notify new coupons upon login
  • You can use a pop-up to notify of new coupons when customers log in.
  • You can manage the settings in [Themes (PC)>Features>Pop-ups].
Send email notification on new coupons
  • You can select whether to send email notifications on new coupons.
  • Even when you have selected [Do not send] for [Send email notification], an email notification will be sent if you select [Send] for [Email notification] when manually issuing a coupon in [Create coupons].
  • When you select [Exclude unsubscribed accounts], the customers who have selected [Do not subscribe] will not receive email notifications.
  • Email notifications on new coupons will be sent if you select [Send] for [Customers>Notification on new coupon].
