Create incentives

  • With [Create discounts/gifts], you can create and edit various discounts and gifts for the customers.
  • You can add various types of incentives such as limited-time discount, returning customer discount, bulk order discount, customer level-based discount, new product discount, shipping fee discount, gifts, and Buy one Get X free.
  • When there are multiple incentives, the incentive that was added first will be applied.

Import existing incentives

  • When you click the button on top right corner, a pop-up with the existing incentives will appear. You can choose an incentive from the list to add.
  • Even when you import existing incentives, you need to manually enter or select options for [Applicable products], [Incentive rule], [Coupon settings] fields if you import a discount incentive. If you import a gift incentive, you need to manually enter or select options for [Applicable products], [Requirement for purchase amount] and [Product to offer as gift].

General


Incentive type Discounts
  • Limited-time discount: Discount is offered for orders placed during the specified period.
  • Discount for returning customers: A discount for customers who purchase the same product or item over the set number of times
  • Bulk order discount: A discount given for purchasing more than a specified number of same products/items.
  • Customer discount: A discount for the customers in the specified level
  • Discount on new products: Discount is offered for customers who purchase products set as new products.
  • Shipping fee discount: Discount on shipping fee is offered for orders that include products to which the incentive is applied.
    • The entire shipping fee amount will be waived (default/supplier/per-product, international shipping insurance, additional fee for international shipping, shipping zone rates).
Gift
  • Gifts: A gift for purchasing products
  • You can enable the gift feature under [Enable gift option] in [Store settings>Promotions>Purchase incentives>Customer incentives] and decide how to allow customers to select gifts under [Allow customers to select gifts on].
  • Buy one Get X free: Offering a specified number of the same product as gifts for purchasing one product
  • NAVER Pay button will not appear for a product that is selected as a gift or for a product during the Buy one Get X free campaign.
  • NAVER Pay button does not appear because the gifts are selected in the order form page of the online store after placing an order but NAVER Pay uses a different order form.
  1. The following products cannot be used as gifts.
  1. Product bundles
  1. Products that have custom selection- or independent variant selection-type options
  1. Products that have options that allow custom text input or file attachments

Conditions


■ Common Applicable products Discount/Gift
  • You can exclude products from the incentives.
  • When you select a product category, you can apply the incentives to a specific product category.
Limited-time discount and new product discount
  • With [Exclude incentives for the selected product category], you can exclude the products in the selected category from the incentives.
Shipping rate discounts
    1. 1)Specific products
    • When the customer orders products other than the specifically selected products, the shipping fee will be charged according to the store’s shipping standards.
    • When the customer orders the specific products along with other products, the shipping rate discounts will be applied regardless of the store’s free shipping settings.
    1. 2)Exclude products
    • When the customer only orders the excluded products, the shipping fee will be charged according to the store’s shipping standards.
    • When the customer orders the products for discounts along with the excluded products, the shipping fee will be charged regardless of the store’s free shipping settings.
Gift
  • Specific products: The discount will be applied both when the customer purchases the specific products only or with other products.
  • All except for the selected products: Incentive will be applied to all products except for the selected products.
■ Discounts > Limited-time discount Exclude product categories
  • The products in the selected product category will be excluded from the incentives.
  • When a product belongs to multiple categories, the incentives will not be applied to the product if one of those categories has been excluded.
■ Discounts > Discount for returning customers Number of purchase settings
  • You can establish the settings if you have selected [Discount for returning customers] in [Incentive type].
  • When you enter the number of purchase, you can offer incentives to the customers purchasing the same product multiple times.
  • This incentive is only provided to the customer accounts.
■ Discounts > Bulk order discount Set purchase limits
  • You can establish the settings if you have selected [Bulk order discount] in [Incentive type].
  • You can enter the purchase quantity to offer incentives based on the quantity of products purchased.
■ Discounts > Discount on new products Definition of new products
  • You can establish the settings if you have selected [New product discount] in [Incentive type].
  • You can set the period for which a product will remain as a new product.
  • By day: Consider the hours and minutes of when the product was added, edited, displayed
  • By time: Consider the minutes of when the product was added, edited, displayed
  1. e.g. For one day from the date added
  1. Date added: 2018-01-11 12:30:00
  1. Valid period: 2018-01-11 12:30:00 ~ 2018-01-12 12:30:00
■ Discounts> Shipping fee discount Set requirement
  • You can set the detailed discount settings when [Shipping fee discount] is selected for incentive type.
  • Order amount is the cart subtotal (price ± extra charge for item) before discount.
  • When you have not set the minimum amount for incentives, the shipping fee will be first discounted regardless of the order amount.
  • If all the incentives have the same requirements other than this setting, the incentive that was added the earliest will be applied.
■ Gifts> Give gifts First-time purchase
  • This option is available only for [Gift].
  • This is an incentive given to a customer who made the first purchase and is only available for the customer accounts.
  1. (It will not be available for guest accounts even if you have selected [Customers + guests] as the participants.)
  • This does not concern the payment and cancellation of the order.
Purchase amount range
  • This option is available only for [Gift].
  • The purchase amount is calculated differently depending on the option you selected for [Calculate eligibility] in [Promotions>Incentives>Settings].
Based on all products
    1. A gift will be provided if the order includes at least one gift product and the total order amount is within the purchase amount range.
Based on products with incentives
    1. A gift will be provided if the order amount of products with incentives is within the purchase amount range.
■ When [Buy one Get X free] is selected Product
  • You can only apply the [Buy one Get X free] campaign to regular products. (Cannot be applied to bundles, complementary products, and related products)
  • You can apply the campaign to a product receiving discounts.
  • But one, get N free settings will prevail over the quantity-related settings including order unit, and minimum and maximum order quantity.
  • A product with an extra charge for options cannot be added. When you change the extra charge amount after adding the product, it will not be reflected when customers place an order.
  • When adding a product with product-specific options, the <b>Buy one Get X free</b> settings will not be applied.

Details


■ Common Incentives Discount_Flat rate
  • If you select [Do not round], numbers with decimal places will be automatically rounded to whole numbers.
  • If you purchase more than one of the same item, the relevant discount rate will be applied to the product subtotal, whereas if you purchase different items, relevant discounts will be applied to each of the item prices.
  1. e.g. If the discount for a product priced at 10,000 is "7% discount, rounded to the nearest 1,000", and 5 items of that product are purchased;
  1. Discount before rounding: (10,000 * 5) * 0.07 = 3,500 / Discount after rounding: 4,000
  1. Cart subtotal: 50,000 - 4,000 = 46,000
  • Depending on the price, the actual discount may be 0. After the incentive settings, check the final discounted price for the product.
Discount_Flat amount
    • Depending on your purchase quantity settings, the discount will be reflected different as follows.
      1. e.g. When purchasing one Variant A and Variant B of a product with a 2,000 discount,
      1. -For [Not based on quantity], only a 2,000 discount is applied, regardless of the number of variants.
      1. -For [Based on quantity], a 2,000 discount is given per variant, so a total of 4,000 discount is applied.
Restrictions on coupon use
  • Note that restricting the use of coupons may lead to a conflict.
■ Gifts > Select gifts Product to offer as gift
  • Gifts can be added to the default products only (Bundles not allowed). When the selection type is <b>Automatically select a specific gift</b>, you can only select one product with no options.
  • When [Gift selection] is set to [By customer], you can select a product with options, and the gift points will be deducted according to the gift selected.
  • However, the gift point deduction and maximum quantity features will be applied only when you have selected [Two or more] in [Settings>Gifts>Customer can select].
  • If you don’t enter the maximum number, there will be no limit on how many gifts customers can select.
  • The gifts will be displayed in a random order as they can be used as gifts for another incentive. (Cannot assign the order of display)
  • You cannot add the product to purchase also as the product to offer as the gift. You can use [Buy one Get X free] to offer the product to purchase also as the gift.
  • Gifts will not be issued if the available stock (Settings location: Edit product>Options/Inventory>Track inventory>Select "Yes") is set to 0 or below. Make sure you enter a positive number for the available stock.
■ When [Buy one Get X free] is selected Buy one Get X free
  • The designated quantity will be given to the customer in addition to the product the customer is purchasing. It is a useful incentive when holding a Buy one Get X free or Buy one, get two free promotion.
  • The price for the additional products other than the first product will be set as KRW 0. The customers can only purchase in multiple of the set quantity.
  1. e.g. &quot;Buy 1 Get 2 free&quot; at VND 10,000 - VND 10,000 for 3 products, VND 20,000 for 6 products, and VND 30,000 for 9 products

  • You can set to display an icon for products to show that an incentive is being applied.
  • The period of display is the same as the expiration period of the incentive.
