Edit options/inventory

  • You can edit options via CSV.
Import CSV
  • If you need to edit product options via CSV, you need to do so by using the appropriate CSV template.
  • Go to [Product list] and click [Download as CSV files] to download the template for [Reset options and inventory]. Edit the products and upload the modified file.
  • File should be saved in .xlsx or .xls format.
  • When the number of options change, the value entered in the [Options] will be applied to all multi-language stores.
  1. In this case, the existing variant code and the available stock quantity will be reset.
  1. e.g. If the existing options are "Color{Black|White}//Size{S|M}//Pattern{Sun|Star}”, changing the number of options and writing “Color{Black|WHT}//Size{Free|M}//Pattern{Sun|Star}//Material{Glass|Plastic}” will override the existing items and create new options including “Black/Free/Sun/Glass”.
  • When you upload a CSV file with the same number of options, the options will be saved in the order entered, and the variant code and the available stock quantity will be maintained.
  1. e.g. If the existing options are "Color{Black|White}//Size{S|M}//Pattern{Sun|Star}”, maintaining the number of options and writing “Color{Black|WHT}//Size{Free|M}//Pattern{Sun|Star}” will change the variant from “White/S/Sun” to “WHT/Free/Sun”.
  • For products with inventory tracking enabled, editing options via CSV is not recommended.
  • You need to edit other option details such as display status and sale status in [Edit product] page.
  • Note that for custom selection and independent variant selection types of options, option details cannot be edited via CSV. Option details for the above types can only be edited on [Edit product] page.
  • When uploading a CSV file, leave the first row empty and start entering values from the second row.
  • [Product code] is a required field. Make sure to enter a value for the required fields before uploading the file.
  • You can only edit up to 500 options based on the product code.
  • Entering a space in a field that should be left blank may lead to an error.
  • If [Enable auto-translation for option values] is set as [Yes] in [My Store>Store setup>General settings], option values you add will be automatically translated into your multi-language store's language.
