Options

  • The options look similar to the combination-type options and can be set as required or optional.
  • Group multiple options as an option set. Inventory cannot be tracked at a variant level.
  • When using the options created in [Product-specific options], selecting the options will not create a variant.
  • For product-specific options, any changes made to options are automatically reflected to all products using the product-specific options.
  • When you use product-specific options, you can have the customers manually create a variant after selecting the options.
  • These options are frequently used for custom products such as jewelry, furniture, and cell phone cases.

View/Edit option
  • You can edit option information by clicking on the option code or option name.

Add options

Option style
  • You can select how you want the option values to be displayed on the storefront.
Options/option values
  • Option names and option values cannot contain commas, semicolons, double quotation marks, backslashes, and special characters such as #, $ and %.
  • If you inevitably need to use double quotation marks for cases such as indicating inch measurements in symbols, type single quotation twice.
  • You can click [+] button or press Enter to add option values, and change the order of the option values by drag-and-drop.
  • To add extra charge for each variant, click [Extra charge] button and enter the price.
  • If you click [Extra charge] button again, the section for entering extra charge will be closed, and any prices you entered will be deleted.
  • Extra charge you enter will be automatically calculated into the product price.
  • Change made to [Extra charge] will not be applied to the extra charge of variants for existing products.
  • To display colors in the product list, enter the color code in the field and select [Yes] for [Color] in [Products>Products>Product data display].
  • When [Preview] is selected for [Option display format] and both color and swatch image have been added, the variant will be displayed as an image.
  • Please do not use < > for your option names. The content between < and > may be hidden on some checkout pages.
Auto-translation
  • If auto-translation feature is enabled, option information will be automatically translated once option name and option value fields are entered.
  • Note that words or phrases not listed on Cafe24 Translation Dictionary may not be translated.
  • Spanish and Portuguese will be translated into English.
Swatch
  • When [Preview] is selected for [Option display format], the image added to [Swatch image] will be displayed as a swatch.
  • If you add both colors and images, swatches will be displayed as images.
  • If [Preset variant selection] is selected as option selection style, options will appear as text swatches.
Color variations
  • You can select colors available for the product.
  • [Yes] must be selected for [Color] in [Products&gt;Products&gt;Product data display].
  • When [Preview] is selected for [Option display format], the image added to [Swatch image] will be displayed as a swatch.
  • If you add both colors and images, swatches will be displayed as color chips.
