Regional surcharges
- Add regions to charge regional surchage and manage general regional surcharge settings.
- Manage regional surcharge settings you added.
- Contact the shipping carrier for the exact postal code range as the delivery range will vary by shipping carrier and shipping rates will vary by region.
- If you have set a regional surcharge but the customer has not been charged, check whether the recipient's postal code range has been successfully registered or not.
Regional surcharge settings
- You can set which regions to charge extra shipping fee.
- You can select whether to charge regional surcharge for specific regions or not.
- You can bulk add or edit regional surcharge via CSV.
- Once the CSV file is successfully uploaded, the imported data will be automatically saved even when you don't click the [Save] button.
- The CSV file will not be uploaded properly if it contains invalid or missing data. If you get an error message while uploading your file, check the reasons for upload failure and try again.
- You can check the regional surcharge you added by postal code range.
- After adding regional surchage settings, you need to click [Save] to apply the settings to your store.
Add regional surcharge
Add postal codes- Enter values in [Remote area], [Postal code range], and [Additional rate] and click [Add] to add an addtional rate for remote area.
- Set a range by selecting postal codes.
- When the same postal code is included in multiple postal code ranges, the higher regional surcharge will be charged.
Add area names
- Enter a shipping zone and an area name, then click [Add]. A regional surcharge will be charged based on the information you have input.
- Note that regional surcharges will only be charged if you enter the area name correctly.
- You can use this feature to easily configure a shipping fee surcharge for Jeju island and other remote areas.
- Select [By postal code] if you want to charge a shipping fee surcharge based on postal codes.
- Though the Chuja islands and Udo island belong to Jeju island's administrative district, they are classified as "remote areas" because they can't be accessed by land from Jeju island.
