Additional order form fields

  • Manage additional fields on the checkout page when a customer orders a product on your online store.
  • You can add up to 20 additional fields to your order form, and view information entered into additional fields on the admin’s [Order details] page.

Additional fields
  • You can view information for additional order form fields.
  • You can set the order of each field, and whether the fields are required or not.
  • You can change the order by clicking on the up and down buttons for each field.
  • If you set the [Status] to [Required], customers must fill out the field on the checkout page to continue the order process.
  • You can view information on the Field name, Type, Description, and Display.
  • Click on a field name to move to the pop-up window. (Same window as [Add field] and displays previously registered information.)

Add field
  • Click [Add] to bring up the [Add field] window and add the additional form information.
  • After completing all the details, click on [Save] to complete the process.
  • Different field types are provided, including Text box (single line), Text box (multiple lines), Radio button, Checkbox, and Select box.
  • Available settings will change depending on the type.
  • Maximum number of characters that can be entered into the field is 250.
Number of rows & Width (%)
  • [Number of rows] refers to the number of lines in a text box (multiple lines). You can add up to 70 lines.
  • Width (%) refers to the length of a text box (multiple lines). For width, you can enter up to 100.
  • The maximum number of characters allowed in a text box (multiple lines) is 1,000.
Input value
  • Input value refers to field names for radio buttons, checkboxes, and select boxes. You can separate them with ‘/’ e.g. Red/Yellow/Blue
Maximum characters per line
  • Maximum characters per line refers to the number of values displayed within a line.

Product settings
  • You can select specific products to which the settings for additional order form field will be applied.
  • [Product settings] allows you to apply settings on [All products], [By product category], or [Individual products].
  • You can set how information entered into the additional fields is collected in [Information collection settings].
  • If you set [Information collection settings] to [Collect information at once], information entered into additional fields will be collected per one order form.
  • If you set it to [Collect information by product], information entered into additional fields will be collected per product on the order form.

Product settings - All products/By product category/Individual product
  • Select [All products] to apply additional fields to all products.
  • Select [By product category] to bring up the [Product category settings] field. You can apply additional fields to a specified product category.
  • Select [Individual products] to apply additional fields per product. Search for the specified product via the search field and click on [Add] after selecting the desired product to move it to [Selected specific products]. Products moved to [Selected specific products] will have additional fields applied to them. Click on [All] to move all products to [Selected specific products].
